Sinaia, Romania

Sinaia is a town and mountain resort in Prahova County. The town is named after Sinaia Monastery (shown on the photo below words 'Sinaia' on the postcard), around which it was built; the monastery was named after the Biblical Mount Sinai. King Carol I of Romania built his summer home, Peles Castle (on the left), near the town. Beside Peles Castle, Pelisor Castle is one of the symbols of Sinaia. On the right, you can see a statue located in Peles Castle complex.
Many thanks to Jean-Pierre for great postcard and lovely stamps!
