Jerónimos Monastery, Portugal

The Hieronymites Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jeronimos) is located near the shore of the parish of Belem, in Lisbon. The monastery is one of the most prominent monuments of the Manueline-style architecture (Portuguese late-Gothic) in Lisbon, classified in 1983 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with nearby Tower of Belem. It really looks gorgeous.
Many thanks Jose!

Belém Tower, Portugal

Belém Tower is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém. It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site (along with the nearby Jeronimos Monastery) because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. The tower was commissioned by King John II to be part of a defense system at the mouth of the Tagus River and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. The tower was built on a small island in the Tagus River near the Lisbon shore.
Paulo, thank you very much.
