United Kingdom

Occupying the northern third of the island of Great Britain, Scotland, in addition to the mainland, constitutes over 790 islands. Edinburgh is the capital and second largest city. Glasgow is the largest city was one of the world's leading industrial cities and now lies at the centre of the Greater Glasgow conurbation. Scottish waters consist of a large sector of the North Atlantic and the North Sea, containing the largest oil reserves in the EU. This has given Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland, the title of Europe's oil capital.
The postcard above shows one of many frozen lochs (lakes) in Scotland. Behind is Black Mountain.

Many thanks to dear Jean-Pierre for such a wonderful view of Scotland, and awesome stamps and cancellations! Moreover, I like that this card was sent on my birthday. :)
