Nicaragua

Sanne from the Netherlands is currently studying Spanish and volunteering in beautiful country of Nicaragua. She's situated in Granada, Nicaragua's 4th most populous city. Granada is historically one of Nicaragua's most important cities both economically and politically. It has a rich colonial heritage, seen in its architecture and layout. This postcard shows Laguna de Apoyo, very clean and warm 200 centuries old crater lake. It looks gorgeous and is still place undiscovered by many people.
Two great stamps used. One on the right, issued in 2002, is commemorating 5th centenary of Nicaraguan foundation, and one on the left, issued in 1992, commemorates 460 years of erection of Catholic church in Nicaragua. Thank you so much Sanne!
